Springtime in the Poconos is gorgeous, but there’s no shortage of rainy days. Rather than looking at the rain as a damper on your day, we like to inspire our guests to embrace it. Afternoons spent curled up in your room can be quite dreamy. So, if you’re planning a trip, here’s what to pack for your spring vacation to the Poconos.
Know that it might rain during your stay, and pack accordingly. An umbrella, shoes you don’t mind getting muddy, and a raincoat should cover it.
Pack some long sleeved shirts and lightweight jackets that you can shed once the sun comes out. Layering your clothes is key to comfortably navigating our springtime weather.
Bring a backpack for your outdoor activities. One that is lightweight is ideal for carrying long distances, but it should be durable enough to carry water bottles, snacks, and extra clothing.
If it’s 72 degrees and sunny, chances are you’ll want to be outside by the lake. A bathing suit is also nice to have if you’re doing any water activities.
If you plan on dining at one of our restaurants, like Windsor or Lakeview, you’ll need something to change into for dinner. These two restaurants have a dress code.
We know you have your camera on your phone, but if you have a nice camera, bring it. The varying weather gives us some pretty spectacular views of the Poconos. Plus, kids dancing in rain puddles can make for some cute vacation photos.
