Leading up to your special day:
To secure your desired date, we require a $1,000 non-refundable deposit and a signed contract within two weeks.
A $2,000 nonrefundable deposit will be due within 6 months of your wedding day. It’s also a great time for you to schedule your appointment with our floral department,
We also offer Food Sampling Events in March and November. Please be our guest. At this time, you should also schedule an appointment with the coordinators to finalize details.
Two weeks before your wedding date, the final details, meal counts, and final payment are due. One week before the date of the wedding your floor plan and table seatings are due.
On your floor plan, please note where the following will be seated: the parents of the bridal couple, guests with requested specialty food items or restrictions such as allergies, and children who need highchairs or booster seats.
The Perfect Weekend
Rehearsal Dinner
Welcome your guests with a rehearsal dinner for everyone, or just your bridal party. Both are great ways to introduce everyone and to begin what is sure to be an amazing and memorable weekend.
With packages ranging from formal, sit-down dinners and buffets to outdoor picnics and clam bakes, our coordinators can create an event that is tailored just for you.
Wedding Day
When the day arrives, we’ll be at the bride’s service with a specially prepared bridal buffet of finger sandwiches, fruit, cheese and pastries, with coffee, tea and soda.
Perhaps a spa treatment is in order? Maybe your guests would enjoy a golf tournament, tennis match, skeet shooting, or a group hike to take in Skytop’s natural beauty.
And while bride makes herself more beautiful, the groom is invited to enjoy a complimentary game of golf. (It’s a rite of passage up here.)
Bring your clubs or rent a set from our wonderfully appointed pro shop that offers a friendly service oriented staff.
Come and enjoy the spectacular mountain scenery of our Pocono golf resort located just minutes from the main lodge.
Our 18-hole championship Poconos course is rated among the finest in the East. Challenging enough for the serious golfer, its still playable enough so it won’t overwhelm the more casual player. Finish up with lunch in the on site “deli” before heading down the aisle to say “I Do”!
If you are considering a large group, we recommend calling for tee times a few months in advance.
Ceremony
Skytop’s very special events team will escort the bride and bridal party to the ceremony. Following the “I dos,” we’ll then see you to a private cocktail party while wedding guests head to the cocktail hour reception.
At sunset the couple with their photographer will be taken to the roof of Skytop Lodge for sunset photos.
A coordinator will remain for the entire evening to see to it that every wish is granted for the bride, groom and guests.
The Tap Room is available for the “After” party and will remain open until 1 AM, here is where the new “Mr. and Mrs.” will carve their initials in the walls of the Tap Room and become an official Skytop Couple.
Breakfast or Brunch
For the perfect ending to a perfect weekend, we recommend getting together with your guests one last time before everyone heads home and you head to your honeymoon. It would be our honor to arrange for a private brunch, or to seat you together in the dining rooms.
A farewell breakfast begins at 8 in the main dining room where all of your wedding guests will be seated in the same area. Brunch begins at 10:30 and ends at 1.
